Baggage allowance depends on the airline, route and class of the ticket with which you fly.

LUGGAGE IN THE HOLD OF THE PLANE

As a general rule, on scheduled flights the franchise ranges from about 20 kg to 23 kg per passenger. However, there may be some routes where the price of the flight does not include baggage in the hold.

On flights to America many companies apply the parts system, allowing a single package per person with a maximum weight of 23 kg.

HAND LUGGAGE

For security reasons only one piece of luggage per person is allowed in the cabin. As a general rule the maximum weight ranges from 6 kg to 10 kg, and measurements cannot exceed 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. However, we always advise reconfiguring such information with the airline itself, as the weight or size may vary depending on the carrier concerned.

If you want to carry more luggage in the hold or cabin, an additional price per package is usually charged.  You can consult this information in the conditions of each airline. The price is usually between 40 euros and 100 euros for each additional suitcase or package.

Here are the baggage rules of the main companies we work with:

A baby or infant (under the date of the flight has not yet turned 2 years of age) travels without occupying a seat, accompanied by a person over the age of 18 and pays a variable percentage of the adult's fare. As a general rule they usually pay 10% of the adult's rate, but this may vary by airline.

A child (under the age of 2, who is not 12 years old on the date of the flight) must always be accompanied by a person over the age of 18. They pay a variable percentage of the adult's rate, which is usually between 65% and 100% of the adult's rate, and are entitled to a seat.

Regular flight carriers regularly accept, for each adult passenger, a maximum of:

  • A baby.
  • A baby and a child under the age of 5.
  • Two children under the age of 5.

However, these conditions depend on each airline, so it is best to consult before hiring the trip.

The duration of the flight depends on many factors. However, these are the approximate times:

  • Ida from Madrid: between 7 h and 8.5 h.
  • Return to Madrid: between 6 h and 7.5 h.

 

This time varies if we have to make a stopover in some European capital (usually Amsterdam, Lisbon or Rome), but the approximate time from them is 8 h or 9 h for the one way and 7 h or 8 h for the return.

U.S. law requires the following information from ALL passengers traveling to, via, or from the U.S., even if they are only making a stopover to travel to a third country.

The mandatory passport information is:

  • Passport number
  • Country that issued the passport
  • Passport expiry date
  • Name (as it appears on the passport)
  • Surname
  • Sex
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Foreign Registration Number (Residence Card) must also be presented by passengers who have residency in the U.S.
  • Country of residence

Still, if you want to confirm or make any changes to your reservation, in your user area you have the confirmation code of the airline so you can modify what you need directly with them.

It is VERY, VERY recommendable to carry travel medical insurance. It is better to be covered for any eventuality that may arise on our trip. Whether you get sick or have an accident outside your country is not the most pleasant. Therefore, we recommend that you always carry medical coverage during your trip.

This insurance has a series of advantages that we find very interesting:

  • Medical coverage up to 1 million euros.
  • Baggage loss or delay coverage.
  • Trip cancellation and shortening coverage.

Regardless of the insurance you take out, make sure that the medical coverage is VERY HIGH, since a simple ankle sprain in the US can cost you THOUSANDS of pounds.

Any type of delay, schedule change, cancellation or modification of the contracted flights is the responsibility of the airline and I never take you to New York (I take you from Trip to SL).

In any case, we will notify all affected users, provided that the airline informs us well in advance and the contact details provided by the passenger are correct.

Remember that we travel with you and any setback affects us too!

It is essential that you do not make a mistake with the date, time, name of the passengers, nor the details related to the reservation, since the tickets are issued almost automatically.

As of May 12, 2023, it is not necessary to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the United States by international flight.

Prices are achieved in several ways:

  • We have closed agreements with hotels that allow us to pre-remember rooms, even 2 years before our visit, so prices are the best.
  • We use multiple flight finders and have exclusive prices with airlines.
  • We try to complete the trips at least 6 months in advance.

The drawback of the transfer payment is that until the money is in our bank (it may take up to 72 hours to complete the transfer) we will not be able to guarantee flights and the hotel.

It is usually due to a daily limit on the credit card, which is usually 600 to 800 euros. We recommend that you call your bank to have that limit extended and to make the purchase successfully. You can also do it yourself from your bank's app, from your computer or mobile, and the change applies immediately.

You must provide us with the locator of your reservation and the details in the name of who to make the invoice: name, CIF/NIF and address.

Air tickets and hotel confirmation are issued in electronic format, so it is not necessary to print and present them when boarding or check-in at the hotel.

In your customer area of our website you can see your ticket number electŕonico and the confirmation of the hotel. You can print them or download them for later reference.

If you wish, we can print you and send you by courier the tickets and confirmation of the hotel. This service has an additional cost of 20 euros per person.
